Join our Summer Ballet Intensive, specially designed for serious dancers ages 9 and up who are eager to refine their skills and elevate their artistry. Our Summer Ballet Intensive is grounded in our core strength: high-level classical ballet training built on a clean, strong technical foundation. This program offers a unique opportunity to train with renowned faculty, focusing on technique, strength, and performance skills in an immersive environment.
Dates: Six weeks available: July 13th - July 31st and August 10th - August 28th (Monday to Friday - with weekly enrollment available)
Ballet Focused Training: Ballet technique, pre-pointe/pointe, classical repertoire, partnering, contemporary, character dance, and stretch & strength.
Expert Instructors: Train with guest teachers, distinguished faculty, and YAGP finalist coaches, offering world-class guidance and mentorship.
In-Studio Performance: Showcase your progress in a culminating performance at the end of each week.
Admission is by audition only, ensuring a focused and dedicated learning environment. Whether you're preparing for competitions or looking to advance your ballet journey, our intensive program provides the perfect blend of technique, artistry, and stage experience. Students who attend the in-person audition are eligible for scholarships!

In-person Audition at Waldwick School of Ballet
February 7th, 2026
Ages 9 - 11 (Beginner): 2PM
Ages 12-14 (Intermediate): 3PM
Ages 14+ (Advanced): 4PM
Registration:
All students must register by completing the online application form below.
The audition fee is $30, payable online via the form.
Students who attend the in-person audition are eligible for scholarships.
Audition results will be emailed by March 1st, 2026.

Wear appropriate ballet attire:
Women: Leotard, tights, ballet shoes, pointe shoes (if applicable), and hair secured off the face.
Men: Fitted T-shirt, tights, ballet shoes.
No warm-ups or skirts allowed.

Registration link will be sent to students accepted in the program.
Tuition is $750/week, or three weeks for $2,175 (July or August)
Enroll before May 1st to receive Early Bird pricing of $700 per week or $2,000 for 3 weeks!
A 30% deposit is due 10 days after acceptance, with final balances due by May 15th.
After May 15th, tuition must be paid in full upon acceptance and registration.

Merit-based scholarships for Summer Intensive tuition are available and awarded based on audition performance.
Scholarships range from 10% to full tuition, granted at the discretion of our artistic staff.
Scholarships apply only to tuition and do not cover the registration fee, housing, attire, visas, or any additional program-related expenses.
Students awarded scholarships will be notified upon acceptance.

Daily Schedule Sample (9:30-3:15)
9:30 – 11:00 AM – Ballet Technique
11:15 – 12:30 PM – Pre-Pointe/ Pointe Class / Partnering / Stretch and Strength
12:30 – 1:15 PM – Lunch Break
1:15 – 2:15 PM – Contemporary / Variations / Character Dance
2:15 – 3:15 PM – Performance Rehearsal
Video Auditions
Students unable to attend the in-person audition may submit a video audition by 11:59 PM EST on April 15, 2026. Please complete the online application form and include a link to your unlisted YouTube video.
$30 fee is required for video submission.
Audition results will be sent via email by April 30th, 2026.
Video Audition Guidelines
To submit your video:
Post it as “unlisted” on YouTube and include the link in the designated space on the application form.
Wear appropriate ballet attire:
Women: Leotard, tights, ballet shoes, pointe shoes (if applicable), and hair secured off the face.
Men: Fitted T-shirt, tights, ballet shoes.
No warm-ups or skirts allowed.
Video Requirements:
Must be filmed within the last three months and not exceed 15 minutes.
Ensure the dancer is fully visible at all times—no close-ups, silhouette lighting, or filming into mirrors.
No other dancers should appear in the video.
Required Content:
Barre: Plié, tendu, rond de jambe, grands battements
Center: Adagio, pirouettes, petit allegro, grand allegro
Pointework (if applicable): Échappé relevé, pirouettes, turns across the floor
Only one side of each exercise needs to be shown.
