About our Spring Gala

Each spring, our studio comes together to present our annual Spring Gala, a celebration of classical repertoire ballets and the beauty of dance. This special event gives our students the opportunity to showcase their talent and artistry while immersing themselves in the rich tradition of timeless ballet masterpieces. Through weeks of rehearsals and dedication, our dancers take the stage to share their passion and spread the joy of this vibrant art form. We’re proud to foster a love of classical dance and bring these iconic works to life, inspiring our community and celebrating the power of performance.

Spring Gala Audition: Friday January 10th, 2026

🕕 Ages 10 -13 : 12:30–1:15 PM

🕕 Ages 14 and up : 1:15–2:00 PM

Important Information

By registering, dancers commit to attending Saturday rehearsals and mandatory tech and dress rehearsals. Please note: Students with more than two unexcused absences will not be permitted to perform in the Spring Gala.

2025 Spring Gala - The Sleeping Beauty

The Sleeping Beauty ballet, set to Tchaikovsky's enchanting music, is a timeless fairy tale about love, magic, and triumph over evil. It begins with the christening of Princess Aurora, where the evil fairy Carabosse curses her to prick her finger on a spindle and die. The kind Lilac Fairy softens the curse, promising that Aurora will only fall into a deep sleep, to be awakened by true love's kiss.

On her 16th birthday, Aurora pricks her finger and falls into a magical slumber, along with the entire kingdom. One hundred years later, Prince Désiré is guided by the Lilac Fairy to the enchanted forest, where he awakens Aurora with a kiss, breaking the curse.

The ballet concludes with a grand wedding celebration, uniting the kingdom in joy and love, featuring dazzling dances and a happily-ever-after.

2024 Spring Gala - Coppelia

The ballet Coppélia is a delightful comedic tale of love, mischief, and mistaken identity. It tells the story of Swanilda and Franz, a young couple from a small village. Franz becomes infatuated with a mysterious girl he sees in the window of Dr. Coppelius's workshop, not realizing she is a lifelike doll created by the eccentric toymaker.

Determined to uncover the truth, Swanilda sneaks into the workshop with her friends, and chaos ensues. Through cleverness and charm, Swanilda outsmarts Dr. Coppelius, revealing the doll’s true nature and winning back Franz’s heart. The ballet concludes with a joyous wedding celebration, filled with lively dances and humor.

Our production of Coppélia was an incredible success! From the captivating performances to the vibrant choreography, our dancers brought this whimsical story to life with energy and precision. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this enchanting journey—it was a show to remember!
